Company Description NEXORA INTERIOR DESIGN AND BUILD is a growing interior design and construction company based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, specializing in creating functional and aesthetically pleasing residential and commercial spaces. The company manages projects from concept through execution, coordinating design, materials, and construction to meet client expectations. Role Description The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, maintaining ledgers, and ensuring accurate and timely bookkeeping. Duties include preparing invoices, tracking accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and supporting payroll processing. The role also involves preparing financial reports, assisting with budgeting and cost tracking for projects, and ensuring compliance with relevant tax and regulatory requirements. The Accountant will collaborate with project managers and leadership to provide financial insights that support decision-making and efficient project execution. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Qualifications Strong skills in general accounting, bookkeeping, and financial reporting, including proficient use of accounting software and Excel. Ability to manage accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, cost control, and cash flow tracking for multiple projects. Knowledge of local tax regulations, compliance requirements, and basic audit support practices in Ethiopia. Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities, with high accuracy and attention to detail. Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with project, procurement, and management teams. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., CPA or equivalent) is an advantage. Previous experience in construction, interior design, or project-based environments is preferred. Ability to work on-site full time in Addis Ababa and manage deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
