Furniture Designer

Elmi Olindo Contractors Private Limited Company is looking for a qualified and technically skilled Furniture Designer to join our Wood Workshop. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing furniture designs, preparing production-ready drawings, and supporting the production team in delivering quality furniture products. Key Responsibilities Develop functional and attractive furniture designs based on project and customer requirements. Prepare accurate 2D technical drawings and 3D models for production. Convert concepts and designs into detailed production-ready drawings . Prepare dimensions, specifications, cutting details, and material requirements. Select appropriate materials, finishes, fittings, and hardware. Take measurements and develop furniture designs according to available spaces. Coordinate with the production team to ensure accurate implementation of designs. Review completed furniture products and recommend design or production improvements. Support the workshop in resolving design and technical issues. Maintain proper records of drawings, specifications, and design revisions. Main Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Wood Technology, Interior Design, or a related field . Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in furniture design and/or production. Knowledge of furniture production, materials, joinery, and technical drawings . Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp . Practical understanding of converting designs into production-ready drawings . Preferred Profile Experience in a furniture/wood workshop or manufacturing environment . Strong practical knowledge of furniture design and production processes .
