Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accountant role based in Adis Zemen. The Accountant will handle day-to-day financial operations, including recording transactions, preparing journal entries, and maintaining accurate general ledger accounts. Responsibilities include assisting with budgeting, monitoring expenditures, reconciling bank and account balances, and supporting month-end and year-end closing activities. The role also involves preparing financial reports, supporting audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights. The Accountant will help improve financial processes and contribute to the integrity and reliability of financial data used in decision making. Qualifications Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including general ledger management and financial reporting. Proficiency with accounting software and productivity tools (e.g., Excel, ERP systems) and strong numerical accuracy. Ability to analyze financial data, perform reconciliations, and support budgeting and forecasting activities. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Effective written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is an advantage. High ethical standards, integrity, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality and compliance with regulations. Experience in telecommunications or large corporate environments is beneficial but not required.
