Role Description
The MEP BIM Modeler is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This role is responsible for developing, coordinating, and updating Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) models within BIM platforms, ensuring accuracy and alignment with architectural and structural designs. The MEP BIM Modeler will produce detailed and consistent construction drawings, manage model revisions, and support clash detection and resolution with the project team. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with architects and engineers, organizing model data, maintaining project standards, and preparing documentation required for design review and construction. The individual in this role will also support continuous improvement of BIM workflows and contribute to the quality and efficiency of project delivery.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools in REVIT and workflows, with the ability to create and manage coordinated models.
Understanding of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems and their integration within building designs.
Experience as a modeler, including creation, modification, and detailing of 3D building models.
Ability to read, interpret, and produce clear and accurate construction drawings.
Relevant technical diploma or degree in engineering, architecture, or a related field.
Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams.
Familiarity with industry standards, coordination processes, and construction documentation best practices.
Good communication skills and the ability to manage time and tasks effectively in an on-site project environment.
