The position requires experience with IFRS, Ethiopian tax regulations, real estate accounting, and Peachtree Accounting software. Key Responsibilities Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS, including IFRS 15 requirements relevant to real estate revenue. Ensure compliance with Ethiopian government finance laws and applicable tax directives. Ensure compliance with VAT and Income Tax regulations. Oversee daily accounting operations, ledger controls, and financial reconciliations using Peachtree Accounting. Track construction expenditures across active real estate projects. Monitor project budgets and identify budget variances. Monitor project cash flows. Coordinate and lead annual external financial audits. Manage periodic tax declarations and related compliance activities. Support financial control and reporting requirements across real estate projects. Education and Qualifications Applicants should have: BA or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Degree from a recognized institution. Experience Requirements Minimum 5 years of progressive and verifiable experience in senior financial roles. Direct practical experience in a real estate development or large-scale construction company is mandatory. Required Skills and Competencies Advanced, hands-on proficiency in Peachtree Accounting. Strong knowledge of Ethiopian tax directives. Knowledge of Ethiopian investment policies and financial laws. Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting. Experience with real estate accounting and project costing.
