Role Description: This is a full-time, on-site Architect role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Architect will develop architectural concepts, prepare detailed drawings, and produce technical documentation for new construction, renovation, and interior projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site visits, gathering requirements, and translating client needs into functional, sustainable, and aesthetically coherent designs. The role involves coordinating with engineers, interior designers, and other consultants, as well as supporting project scheduling, cost estimates, and permitting documentation. The Architect will also participate in design reviews, oversee the quality of project deliverables, and provide support during construction to ensure design intent is maintained. Qualifications: Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, space planning, and preparation of construction documents. Experience with Project Management, including coordination of timelines, deliverables, multidisciplinary teams, and stakeholder communication. Familiarity with Software Development and Integration as they relate to design tools, digital workflows, or collaboration platforms is an advantage. Proficiency in industry-standard design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar BIM/CAD tools). Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; professional licensure or progress toward licensure is preferred. 3 years of Experiance in the field. Strong visualization, presentation, and technical drawing skills, with attention to detail and building codes/regulations. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment and communicate effectively with clients, consultants, and contractors. Experience with sustainable design principles and local building practices in Ethiopia is a plus.
