Learn more jti.com Planning Specialist Job Objective The Planning Specialist is responsible for coordinating and optimizing materials and production planning activities to ensure uninterrupted finished goods production aligned with market demand. The role focuses on timely procurement, inventory optimization, and minimizing write-offs, obsolescence, and shelf-life risks. Key Responsibilities Lead material planning for NTM and Leaf, ensuring uninterrupted production by aligning material availability with production schedules and demand forecasts. Develop and maintain material requirement plans (MRP), ensuring accuracy through timely updates of BOM changes, lead times, and inventory parameters. Drive purchase planning and order management, including timely placement of purchase orders and effective FOREX planning to ensure supply continuity. Optimize order quantities and replenishment strategies to balance service levels, freight costs, inventory holding, and obsolescence risks. Monitor material consumption trends vs. BOM and proactively adjust plans to prevent shortages, excess stock, and write-offs. Manage and maintain material inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock coverage while minimizing aging, expiry, and shelf-life risks. Upload and manage material plans in IBP, ensuring alignment between supply planning, procurement, and production requirements. Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and demand planning teams to ensure end-to-end supply chain alignment. Support production planning and scheduling by converting material and supply plans into executable production plans and tracking adherence. Prepare and analyze daily and monthly inventory reports, with a strong focus on materials performance, usage efficiency, and inventory health. Continuously identify opportunities to improve planning processes, material availability, and inventory optimization. Support additional planning-related activities as assigned by the Planning Manager. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or a related field. Minimum of 4 years of experience in foreign purchasing, materials planning, or related supply chain roles. Strong analytical skills, planning and coordination capability, Strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
