Job Summary: We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven individual to join our team as a Business Development Assistant for the Ethiopian market. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying opportunities, building partnerships, and driving growth strategies to strengthen our presence in the local market. Key Responsibilities: Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges in the Ethiopian market. Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, stakeholders, and partners. Assist in creating and implementing business development strategies tailored to the Ethiopian market. Support proposal writing, grant applications, and fundraising efforts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational goals. Monitor and report on the performance of business development initiatives. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, or a related field. 2-4 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably in Ethiopia or similar markets. Strong understanding of the Ethiopian market, including cultural, economic, and regulatory aspects. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in English and Amharic (additional local languages are a plus). Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ERP and CRM tools. Preferred Skills: Experience in grant writing or fundraising. Knowledge of public-private partnerships and social enterprises.
