Port Hotel Latvia is a SPA and conference hotel located in a beautiful pine forest in Ādaži, offering a peaceful and scenic environment for guests and staff. The hotel is housed in one of the most striking buildings in the area, designed to resemble a sailing ship, giving it a unique and memorable character. Port Hotel features 29 guest rooms, ranging from simple standard rooms to refined luxury suites, welcoming a variety of travelers. The on-site restaurant “Porto,” spread over two floors, serves traditional European cuisine and special seasonal dishes from September to December, creating a vibrant hospitality setting.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Housekeeper role located in Bahir Dar. The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas, following hotel standards and procedures. Daily tasks include making beds, changing linens, cleaning and disinfecting surfaces, vacuuming and mopping floors, restocking amenities, and handling laundry such as washing, drying, and folding linens and towels. The role also involves reporting maintenance issues, ensuring proper use and storage of cleaning products and equipment, and adhering to health, safety, and hygiene regulations. Housekeepers are expected to interact politely with guests, respond to simple requests, support team members as needed, and contribute to a tidy, welcoming environment throughout the hotel.
Qualifications
Strong housekeeping skills, including room cleaning, Laundry, and maintaining high hygiene standards.
Good Communication and Customer Service skills to interact professionally and courteously with guests and colleagues.
Excellent Organization Skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage time and tasks efficiently.
Willingness to participate in Training and follow hotel procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
Previous experience in housekeeping or hospitality is an advantage.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift moderate weights throughout the shift.
Basic understanding of cleaning products and safe handling practices.
Reliability, integrity, and a positive attitude toward teamwork and guest satisfaction.
