Role Description
The Tender Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This role is responsible for managing the end-to-end tender process, including identifying relevant tender opportunities, reviewing tender requirements, and coordinating internal inputs to ensure compliant and competitive submissions. The Tender Specialist prepares and structures proposals, compiles technical and financial documentation, and ensures all submissions meet deadlines and procurement guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include conducting market and competitor analysis, maintaining tender documentation and trackers, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as sales, finance, and technical departments, and supporting post-tender clarifications. The role also involves maintaining strong communication with stakeholders and contributing to continuous improvement of tender processes and templates.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Tender Management and Procurement skills, including familiarity with public and private sector tender procedures.
Candidates should possess excellent Analytical Skills for evaluating tender requirements, pricing structures, and competitive positioning.
Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Candidates should possess advanced Proposal Writing skills for preparing structured, persuasive, and compliant tender documents.
Relevant bachelor’s degree (e.g., Business, Management, Finance, Public Administration, or related field).
Experience in tendering or procurement within technology, IT services, or consulting environments is highly beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in standard office productivity tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software) and comfort with digital document management.
Ability to work collaboratively on-site with cross-functional teams and uphold high ethical and compliance standards.
