Role Description The Head of Information Technology is a full-time, on-site role based in Ethiopia, responsible for leading the overall IT function of Raval Steel Manufacturing P.L.C. This role oversees IT operations, infrastructure, and systems that support manufacturing, administration, and business processes. Day-to-day tasks include developing and implementing IT strategy, managing networks and servers, ensuring cybersecurity and data protection, and supervising IT projects and vendors. The Head of IT will collaborate with senior leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals, optimize system performance, and support digital transformation across the organization. The role also includes leading and mentoring the IT team, setting performance standards, and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations. Qualifications Strong foundation in Information Technology, including systems, networks, and enterprise applications. Proven experience in IT Management and IT Operations, with the ability to lead teams and manage day-to-day support activities. Demonstrated ability to develop and execute IT Strategy aligned with organizational objectives. Hands-on experience with Infrastructure management, including servers, storage, cloud or hybrid environments, and security tools. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, preferably within heavy industry or steel production, is an advantage. Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, data governance, and regulatory compliance. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Effective communication skills and the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Experience managing IT budgets, vendor relationships, and technology procurement is beneficial. SAP and Microsoft products knowledge is required
