Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Commission Sales Associate role based in Hossana. The Commission Sales Associate will promote and sell designated products or services connected to the school, such as uniforms, supplies, or other approved offerings, earning commission based on sales performance. Day-to-day tasks include engaging with students, families, and staff, explaining product features and pricing, processing orders and payments, and maintaining accurate sales records. The role also involves monitoring inventory, preparing simple sales reports, and ensuring a positive and professional customer experience. The associate will collaborate with school administration to align sales activities with school policies and community needs. Qualifications Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with students, families, and staff, both in person and by phone. Strong customer service mindset, including patience, active listening, and a focus on helpful, solution-oriented support. Basic sales and negotiation skills, with the ability to present products and close sales ethically and transparently. Comfort with handling cash and electronic payments, plus basic math skills for calculating totals and commissions. Organizational skills for tracking orders, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate sales records. Reliability and punctuality, with the ability to work on-site throughout the school day and occasional school events. Ability to follow school policies and confidentiality standards, and to contribute to an inclusive, non-discriminatory environment. Prior experience in retail or sales is beneficial; high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
