Role Description
The Recruitment Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, responsible for overseeing end-to-end talent acquisition for the organization. Day-to-day tasks include identifying staffing needs with department heads, drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, and managing candidate sourcing through various channels. The role involves screening applications, conducting interviews, coordinating assessments, and supporting hiring managers in selection decisions. The Recruitment Manager will maintain an applicant tracking system, ensure fair and compliant recruitment practices, lead employer branding initiatives, and organize onboarding activities for new hires. This role also includes monitoring recruitment metrics, preparing reports, and recommending improvements to recruitment processes and policies.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, including job analysis, candidate sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection.
Strong skills in stakeholder management and collaboration, with the ability to work closely with hiring managers and cross-functional teams.
Proficiency in using applicant tracking systems, HRIS tools, and common productivity software (e.g., MS Office, email, and online job platforms).
Knowledge of labor laws, fair hiring practices, and HR policies, with a commitment to non-discriminatory and inclusive recruitment.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with candidates and internal teams.
Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple openings and deadlines.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; advanced HR certifications are an advantage.
Previous experience recruiting in construction, engineering, or related industries in Ethiopia is highly beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Addis Ababa and adapt to a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
