Responsibilities
As an FLS Technician, you will execute technical safety protocols to the highest standards. Specifically, you will perform the following tasks:
System Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance on fire alarms, smoke detectors, sprinkler systems, fire pumps, hydrants, and emergency lighting.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Promptly diagnose and repair technical faults in the FLS control panels, suppression systems, and related safety infrastructure.
Compliance & Logging: Maintain flawless, up-to-date documentation and maintenance logs for all FLS assets as required by corporate audits and local civil defense authorities.
Emergency Response: Serve as a key technical responder during fire drills, system activations, or emergency evacuations, ensuring containment systems function perfectly.
Contractor Supervision: Oversee third-party vendors during specialized annual FLS certifications and system upgrades.
Qualifications
To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:
Technical Background: A diploma or certified technical training in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Maintenance, or a specialized Fire Safety discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of hands-on experience managing FLS systems, preferably within a large commercial property or 5-star hotel matrix.
System Knowledge: Strong familiarity with addressable fire alarm panels (e.g., Honeywell, Siemens, or similar) and automated sprinkler operations.
Attributes: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills under pressure, and a disciplined approach to safety regulations.
