Role Description This full-time on-site Massage Therapist (Duugista Jirka) role at Odra Spa in Jijiga focuses on delivering professional body and therapeutic massages tailored to individual client needs. The therapist will welcome clients, conduct brief consultations to understand their concerns, and recommend appropriate massage techniques to support relaxation, pain relief, and stress management. Daily responsibilities include performing a range of massage services, maintaining clean and organized treatment rooms, and adhering to hygiene and safety protocols. The role also involves providing clear after-care guidance, supporting positive client experiences through attentive customer service, and collaborating with the spa team to ensure consistent scheduling and smooth operations. The therapist is expected to document sessions accurately and uphold Odra Spa’s standards of confidentiality, professionalism, and cultural sensitivity. Qualifications Proficient in Therapeutic Massage and Body Massage, with the ability to tailor treatments to client needs. Knowledge and practical experience in Shiatsu or similar pressure-based techniques for holistic care. Strong Customer Service skills, including respectful communication and client-focused care. Ability to support Stress Management through appropriate massage techniques and client guidance. Relevant training or certification in massage therapy or bodywork from a recognized institution. Understanding of hygiene, safety, and professional ethics in a spa or clinical setting. Physical stamina and proper body mechanics to perform massages safely over multiple sessions per day. Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and follow established spa procedures. Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and participate in ongoing skills development. Basic record-keeping skills and reliability in managing appointments and punctuality.
