HR Assistant Intern Number of Positions: 1 Duty Station: Addis Ababa Duration: 6 months Reports To: HR Coordinator / HR Manager Key Responsibilities The HR Assistant Intern will: Assist in maintaining and updating personnel files. Support recruitment and selection processes. Assist with vacancy announcements and candidate screening. Coordinate interview arrangements. Support preparation of recruitment documentation. Assist with staff attendance and leave records. Update HR databases and staff trackers. Support onboarding and orientation of new employees. Assist with probation and performance management documentation. Support staff training and development activities. Assist in preparing HR reports. Support staff clearance and exit procedures. Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of employee information. Support the HR team with other assigned duties. Qualifications and Requirements Degree or diploma in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Final-year students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Basic understanding of HR principles and practices. Good knowledge of MS Word and Excel. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Attention to detail. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Good teamwork and interpersonal skills. Strong interest in HR and organizational development. Experience: Previous work experience is not required. Relevant internship, volunteer, or practical experience is an advantage. Support preparation and filing of payment vouchers and supporting documents. Assist with financial data entry and bookkeeping. Support petty cash documentation and reconciliation. Assist in tracking staff advances and liquidation. Support bank reconciliation and financial record keeping. Assist with budget monitoring and expenditure tracking. Support preparation of financial reports. Assist with audit preparation and documentation. Maintain electronic and physical finance files. Ensure financial documents are complete and properly filed. Support the Finance team with other assigned tasks. Qualifications and Requirements Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Accounting and Finance, or a related field. Final-year students and recent graduates are encouraged to apply. Basic understanding of accounting principles. Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word. Good numerical and analytical skills. Strong attention to detail. Good organizational and filing skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. High level of integrity and professionalism. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
