Digital Content Creator — Addis Ababa Full-time, Creative Team / Marketing We're looking for someone to sit inside our creative team and keep a steady stream of short-form content moving — for our clients' brands, not a personal channel. You'll get briefs from the account and strategy side, but we don't want someone who just executes literally. Read the brief, see three better ways to do it, and pitch those too. Day to day, you're producing short-form content across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts for client accounts. A brief always has gaps — the actual hook, the actual pacing, the actual shot list — and filling those in well is most of the job. Some days that means shooting: simple setups, sometimes with talent, sometimes just you in front of the camera representing a brand's voice rather than your own. You're scripting, filming, handling basic lighting and audio, and carrying the piece through to the final edit yourself. You'll work closely with the account and strategy side to understand what a client's brand actually sounds like, and that's harder than it sounds — you're adjusting your instincts to someone else's voice, repeatedly, across different accounts, and getting it wrong reads as generic. You're also expected to have real opinions about what's working on which platform and bring ideas into planning meetings, not just wait to be told what to make. What you need to have already done: 1–3 years producing content professionally, ideally for brands or clients rather than just a personal account. Send examples of work you made for someone else's brand voice; your personal feed doesn't tell us what we need to know. You should have shot and edited short-form video start to finish on your own, and be able to talk through why something you made actually performed the way it did.
