CHESAE Ortho-Prosthetic Physiotherapy Specialty Clinic is an orthopedic-focused physiotherapy clinic. Located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the clinic is situated in the Cheshire Building, in front of Salitemihiret Church, on the street from CMC to Megenagna. Role Description
This is a part-time, on-site Physiotherapist role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Physiotherapist will assess patients with orthopedic and prosthetic needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide hands-on therapeutic interventions. Daily responsibilities include conducting physical evaluations, guiding patients through exercises, monitoring progress, and documenting clinical findings. The role also involves educating patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, safe mobility, and the proper use of assistive devices. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes is an essential part of this position.
Qualifications
Strong skills in patient assessment, treatment planning, and delivery of evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, especially for orthopedic and prosthetic cases.
Proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and use of rehabilitation equipment to support mobility, strength, and functional recovery.
Ability to educate patients and families on rehabilitation goals, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and safe use of assistive devices.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.
Good clinical documentation skills and attention to detail in maintaining accurate patient records.
Diploma or degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution; professional licensure or eligibility for licensure in Ethiopia is preferred.
Experience in orthopedic rehabilitation or prosthetic-related physiotherapy is an advantage.
Capacity to work compassionately with diverse patient populations and maintain ethical, non-discriminatory practice.
