About The Role
On behalf of our client, a
leading international FMCG conglomerate
, we are seeking an experienced and dynamic
HR Manager
to lead and strengthen the organization's human resources function in Ethiopia.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the full employee lifecycle, strengthening HR systems and practices, supporting organizational growth, and partnering with management to build a high-performing and engaged workforce.
This role is particularly suitable for an HR professional with experience working in a
fast-paced FMCG, manufacturing, consumer goods, or similarly structured corporate environment
.
Key Responsibilities
HR Strategy & Business Partnership
Support the development and implementation of HR strategies aligned with the organization's business objectives.
Partner with management and department heads on workforce planning and people-related priorities.
Provide professional HR advice and support to managers and employees.
Identify opportunities to strengthen HR policies, systems, and processes.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Management
Lead and coordinate recruitment and selection activities across the organization.
Support workforce planning and staffing requirements.
Ensure effective onboarding and integration of new employees.
Develop and maintain effective recruitment and employee records.
Performance & Talent Management
Support the implementation and improvement of performance management systems.
Work with managers to address employee performance and development needs.
Support talent development, succession planning, and employee retention initiatives.
Identify training and capability development requirements across the organization.
Learning & Development
Coordinate employee training and development programs.
Conduct or support training needs assessments.
Develop and implement learning and development initiatives aligned with business needs.
Monitor the effectiveness of training and employee development activities.
Employee Relations & Engagement
Promote a positive, professional, and high-performance workplace culture.
Manage employee relations issues and support timely resolution of workplace concerns.
Support employee engagement and retention initiatives.
Ensure consistent communication of company policies and expectations.
HR Operations & Compliance
Ensure effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and internal processes.
Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
Support compliance with applicable labor laws and statutory requirements.
Coordinate HR reporting and provide relevant workforce insights to management.
Support compensation and benefits administration where required.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
A Master's degree or professional HR qualification is an advantage.
Proven experience working as an HR Manager, HR Business Partner, or in a senior HR role.
Experience in the FMCG industry is highly desirable.
Experience in manufacturing, consumer goods, retail, or another fast-paced and structured organization will also be considered.
Strong experience across multiple HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training, and HR operations.
Good understanding of Ethiopian labor laws and HR practices.
