Role Description
The Human Resources Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end HR operations, including recruitment and onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and HR policy implementation. The Human Resources Manager will develop and maintain HR procedures, ensure compliance with local labor laws and company standards, and support leadership in workforce planning and organizational development. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating hiring processes, managing employee records, handling benefits and compensation administration, facilitating training and development initiatives, and promoting a positive, inclusive workplace culture aligned with Edge COMM-TECH’s values. The role will also collaborate closely with department heads to identify HR needs and provide guidance on best practices.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in core HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and employee relations.
Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and compliance frameworks, preferably within the Ethiopian labor context.
Proficiency in HR administration tasks such as maintaining personnel records, managing benefits and compensation, and preparing HR reports.
Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and levels.
Demonstrated ability in organizational development, change management, and supporting leadership with workforce planning and talent management.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
Comfort with HR software and productivity tools; familiarity with IT or technology-driven environments is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Management, or a related field; relevant HR certifications are a plus.
Prior experience in an HR management or senior HR role, preferably within a growing organization or fast-paced industry.
Ability to work on-site in Addis Ababa and collaborate effectively with local and cross-functional stakeholders.
