About The Role & Our Client On behalf of our client, a leading global manufacturing company specializing in metal packaging solutions , we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support the organization's financial operations and ensure accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial controls. Key Responsibilities Financial Accounting & Reporting Record daily financial transactions accurately in the ERP/accounting system. Prepare and maintain general ledger accounts and perform monthly reconciliations. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions. Prepare bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances. Maintain fixed asset registers and calculate depreciation. Support month-end and year-end financial closing activities. Cash & Treasury Management Maintain petty cash and ensure timely replenishment. Prepare payment vouchers, receipt vouchers, and other financial documentation. Monitor cash balances and support treasury activities. Compliance & Internal Controls Ensure compliance with tax regulations, including VAT, withholding tax, payroll tax, and other statutory requirements. Assist with internal and external audits by preparing required documentation. Maintain proper filing of financial records and ensure adherence to company financial policies and internal controls. Financial Support Assist in payroll accounting and statutory deductions. Monitor budget utilization and report significant variances. Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by the Finance Manager. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting. 2–4 years of relevant accounting experience. Experience using ERP systems or accounting software such as Peachtree is an advantage. Knowledge of Ethiopian tax regulations and financial reporting requirements.
