Job Description
EthioChicken, part of the Hatch Africa Group, is looking for a Veterinary Laboratory Technologist to join our team at Koka Site, Adama, Ethiopia.

๐ฌ Key Responsibilities
Collect, process, and analyze poultry health samples.
Perform routine and specialized laboratory tests, including serology and microbiology.
Operate, maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment.
Record, analyze, and report laboratory results accurately and on time.
Support quality control, laboratory safety, biosecurity, and regulatory compliance.
Work closely with veterinary and production teams to support disease prevention and flock health programs.
Maintain accurate laboratory records and contribute to continuous improvement.
Participate in training and knowledge-sharing activities.
๐ Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Laboratory Technology.
Practical experience in sample collection, preparation, microbiology, serology, or related diagnostic techniques is an advantage.
Good understanding of laboratory quality control, SOPs, safety, and biosecurity.
Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
Basic computer skills for data entry and laboratory reporting.
Experience in poultry health or veterinary diagnostics is an advantage.
