Role Description The Electrical Technician role at The HEINEKEN Company is a full-time, on-site position based in the Oromia Region, Ethiopia. The Electrical Technician will perform routine and preventive electrical maintenance on production and packaging equipment to ensure reliable, safe, and efficient operation. Daily responsibilities include inspecting electrical systems, diagnosing and troubleshooting faults, repairing or replacing electrical components, and supporting electrical engineering initiatives for process improvements. The role involves working closely with maintenance, production, and safety teams to minimize downtime, adhere to regulatory and company standards, and maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities. The Electrical Technician will also support continuous improvement projects, participate in shift-based work as required, and follow all health, safety, and environmental guidelines. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Electrical Maintenance and working with Electrical Equipment in industrial or manufacturing environments. Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Electricity and Electrical Engineering principles relevant to production facilities. Candidates should possess proven Troubleshooting skills for identifying, analyzing, and resolving electrical system and equipment issues. Vocational or technical diploma/degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Electricity, or a related field. Experience in a brewery, food and beverage, or similar process industry is an advantage. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation. Understanding of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and regulatory requirements for electrical work. Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work shifts and respond to urgent maintenance needs.
