Company Description Social Alliance Charity Association (SACA) is an indigenous, legally registered Ethiopian non-governmental, non-profit, secular organization dedicated to inclusive, community-led development. SACA focuses on transforming the lives of marginalized populations, including children, women, youth, persons with disabilities, the elderly, street children, and displaced communities. The organization provides holistic support through access to health care, nutrition, clean water, education, livelihood opportunities, and integrated WASH and nutrition initiatives. SACA has demonstrated measurable impact and accountability, including wheelchair distribution in underserved areas and recognition under UNICEF’s Call for Expression of Interest, with a full partnership launch planned for 2025. Role Description The General Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, responsible for providing overall strategic and operational leadership to SACA. The role includes overseeing program planning and implementation across SACA’s focus areas, ensuring projects are aligned with the organization’s mission, vision, and donor requirements. The General Manager will manage budgets and financial performance, ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards, and maintain transparent reporting to the board and partners. Daily tasks include supervising and mentoring staff, coordinating with community stakeholders, government bodies, NGOs, and donors, and driving monitoring, evaluation, and data-driven decision making. The General Manager will also lead resource mobilization, proposal development, partnership building, and organizational development initiatives to strengthen SACA’s capacity and impact. Qualifications Strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, staff development, and inclusive, collaborative decision making. Experience in program design, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation, preferably in humanitarian, development, or social services sectors. Proven ability in strategic planning, organizational development, and change management within non-profit or civil society organizations. Solid financial management skills, including budgeting, grant management, and ensuring compliance with donor and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with experience working with communities, government agencies, NGOs, and donors. Background in health, WASH, education, child protection, disability inclusion, or livelihoods programming is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, Management, or a related field; a master’s degree is an advantage. Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, safeguarding, and rights-based approaches in working with vulnerable and marginalized groups. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to use data and evidence to guide organizational priorities
