Role Description The Social Media Manager role at EasyPOS is a full-time, on-site position based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing content across social media channels to increase brand awareness, engage audiences, and drive interest in EasyPOS products. Day-to-day tasks include managing social media calendars, writing posts, coordinating visuals, monitoring comments and messages, and optimizing campaigns for performance. The Social Media Manager will analyze metrics, prepare reports, and collaborate with marketing and product teams to align social media activities with broader business goals. The person in this role is expected to stay current with social media trends and best practices to strengthen EasyPOS’s digital presence. Qualifications Strong skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) for growing audiences and improving engagement. Ability to develop and execute Content Strategy tailored to different platforms and target segments. Excellent Writing and Communication skills for clear, compelling, and brand-consistent messaging. Experience using social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer) is beneficial. Background in marketing, communications, or a related field; relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple campaigns at once. Understanding of basic design principles and familiarity with creative tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud) is a plus. Knowledge of the technology or SaaS sector and interest in POS or business management solutions is advantageous.
