Job Description

Education Development Trust is looking for a Liaison Assistant to provide HR, procurement, and administrative support to the Leaders in Teaching programme in Ethiopia. The programme will strengthen the relevance and quality of secondary education to ensure the successful transition of secondary students to tertiary education or the world of work by equipping them with relevant skills, knowledge and attitude through enhanced implementation of the competency-based curriculum. The Liaison Assistant supports country office operations working on routine yet essential administration, HR coordination and procurement activities. They are a key liaison between EDT, suppliers, service providers, and relevant government offices, ensuring that administrative, human resources, and procurement processes are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with EDT policies and local regulations. The position is based in Addis Ababa. The ideal person will have: Experience in an administrative, HR, procurement or liaison role, ideally within an NGO or development setting Experience of working in office or other work environment that involves managing logistics, suppliers and administrative records Excellent oral and written English language skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels The ideal person will have: Significant experience in an administrative role, with a strong customer focus and ideally within an NGO or development setting Experience of working in office or other work environment that involves managing logistics and reports.
