About Alephtav Alephtav Consultancy and Trading PLC is an advisory and digital platforms firm in Addis Ababa. We don't just plan; we engineer. Behind every project is financial discipline that makes it work. We are looking for an accountant who can run day-to-day accounting independently and help us strengthen it. What you will do Accounting and financial management: keep complete, current records in Peachtree/Sage 50 or equivalent; reconcile bank, cash, supplier and customer accounts monthly; prepare monthly financial statements and cash-flow summaries; support annual statements and external audits. Tax and statutory compliance: prepare and submit VAT, withholding, payroll income tax and pension declarations on time; keep tax documentation organized; follow changes in Ethiopian regulations; support tax audits. Payroll and financial operations: run monthly payroll and deductions; verify advances and expense claims; process supplier payments; maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules. Project and management accounting: track revenue, spending and profitability by project; prepare budgets and budget-versus-actual reports; monitor invoicing, collections and payables; tell management where cash and risk stand. Controls and digital improvement: keep a reliable digital filing system; catch duplicate payments and unsupported expenses; use Excel and digital tools to improve reporting; support our internal digital management systems; protect confidential financial information. What you bring BA in Accounting, Accounting and Finance, or a related field 2 to 5 years of accounting experience, ideally in a consultancy, trading or project-based setting Practical Peachtree/Sage 50 and strong Excel skills Solid knowledge of Ethiopian tax, payroll and pension requirements Good Amharic and English Nice to have: experience with several projects or business units, ERA tax audits, ERP or digital accounting tools, a professional certification.
