About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented QA Engineer to join our engineering team and ensure the delivery of high-quality software. You will be responsible for designing and implementing both manual and automated tests to evaluate our web applications, APIs, and overall system architecture. You will work closely with developers and product managers to identify issues early in the development lifecycle and help maintain a seamless experience for our users.
Key Responsibilities
Test Planning & Execution:
Design, write, and execute detailed test plans, scenarios, and test cases based on product requirements and technical specifications.
Automated Testing:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts for UI and API endpoints to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
Defect Tracking:
Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Linear).
Collaboration:
Partner with frontend and backend engineers to understand architecture, reproduce issues, and verify fixes in staging and production environments.
Release Management:
Perform comprehensive regression testing before and after deployments.
Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to the enhancement of our CI/CD pipelines by integrating automated tests and monitoring test results.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience:
2+ years of experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Tester, or similar role.
Testing Methodologies:
Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes (white box and black box testing).
Test Automation:
Experience with modern automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, Cucumber, or Jest).
API Testing:
Proficiency in testing RESTful APIs using tools like Postman, Insomnia, or Swagger.
Technical Ecosystem:
Familiarity with testing applications built in modern frontend frameworks (React.js, Next.js, TypeScript).
Understanding of backend architectures ( .NET, Python) and cloud platforms (Azure/AWS).
Version Control & CI/CD:
Experience using Git and navigating CI/CD environments (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
Problem-Solving:
Excellent analytical skills with a knack for identifying edge cases and breaking down complex systems.
