Addis Abeba, Ethiopia 612 days ago Description skilled and detail-oriented SCADA/HMI Engineer to design, develop, and maintain Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) systems. The ideal candidate will ensure reliable automation and control solutions for industrial processes, integrating hardware and software to optimize system performance, reliability, and user experience. Requirements Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, Control Systems, or a related field. Experience: 3+ years of experience working with SCADA/HMI systems and automation technologies. Proficiency with SCADA/HMI software platforms (e.g., Wonderware, WinCC, Ignition, FactoryTalk, etc.). Hands-on experience with PLC programming and industrial control systems. Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as OPC, Modbus, and Profibus. Familiarity with cybersecurity practices for industrial systems. Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities. Team-oriented and able to work under pressure in fast-paced environments. Ability to travel and work on client sites for installations and troubleshooting. Responsibilities System Design & Development: Design and configure SCADA and HMI systems to meet the specific needs of our clients. Develop user-friendly graphical interfaces, dashboards, and reporting tools for system visualization. Create control strategies and integrate SCADA/HMI systems with PLCs, RTUs, and other field devices. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration across various platforms. Installation & Commissioning: Lead the installation, configuration, and commissioning of SCADA/HMI systems at client sites. Perform system testing and debugging to ensure operational reliability. Provide hands-on training and support to client personnel for system operations. Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Conduct regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades to ensure systems are optimized. Monitor system performance and resolve issues promptly to minimize downtime. Provide technical support and act as a liaison between clients and internal teams. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation for SCADA/HMI systems, including design specifications, troubleshooting guides, and user manuals. Prepare system reports, performance logs, and updates for internal and client records. Compliance & Security: Ensure SCADA/HMI systems meet relevant industry standards and cybersecurity regulations.
