Role Description This full-time Physiotherapist role is an on-site position based at Teklehaimanot General Hospital in Addis Ababa. The Physiotherapist will assess patients with a variety of conditions, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions to improve mobility, function, and quality of life. Daily responsibilities include conducting physical examinations, documenting patient progress, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and educating patients and families on exercises, rehabilitation strategies, and injury prevention. The Physiotherapist will also participate in multidisciplinary case discussions, maintain accurate and timely records, and adhere to hospital policies, safety standards, and professional ethical guidelines. Additional duties may include contributing to quality improvement initiatives and supporting training or orientation of new staff as needed. Qualifications Clinical physiotherapy skills, including patient assessment, diagnosis of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, and development of individualized treatment plans. Proficiency in therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and use of physiotherapy equipment and modalities. Strong patient education and counseling abilities, including explaining treatment plans and promoting rehabilitation, prevention, and wellness. Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary medical and nursing teams. Sound clinical judgment, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail in documenting patient care and progress. Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Physiotherapy or Rehabilitation from a recognized institution or equivalent; valid professional license or registration in Ethiopia. Previous clinical experience in a hospital or multidisciplinary care setting is highly beneficial.
