Graduate Piping Design Engineer (Trainee)

About the Role CRTEC Ethiopia is hiring recent engineering graduates for our offshore piping design team in Addis Ababa. You will work on fast-paced, high-profile global petro-chemical and industrial plant projects under a structured mentorship framework. Key Responsibilities 3D Modeling: Learn and assist in modeling 3D steel structures, foundations, and plant equipment using AVEVA PDMS. Piping Routing: Execute basic 3D piping routing based on P&IDs and international codes (GB/ASME/DIN). About You Eligibility Requirements Candidates must strictly meet all criteria below to be shortlisted: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petrochemical Engineering. Target Ethiopian Universities: AAU, AASTU, ASTU, BDU, UOG, AMU (Arba Minch Campus only), MIT, MU, or UU. (Graduates from recognized Chinese Universities are also highly encouraged). Academic Standing: Minimum Cumulative GPA of 3.0+ for males and 2.8+ for females. Strong secondary school and university aptitude results are mandatory. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Auto CAD, AVEVA PDMS, Smart Plant 3D, Naviesworks, Revit, Skecthup, Solidworks or a similar 3D modeling software is a plus. Language: Professional English fluency is mandatory. Basic conversational Chinese is highly advantageous (falsifying this results in immediate disqualification). Experience: Fresh graduates or junior professionals with up to 3 years of experience are welcome to apply. Flexibility: Absolute willingness to work project-driven overtime and travel abroad for international assignments whenever required. Service Bond: Selected candidates must sign a formal commitment bond to serve the company for a minimum of three (3) years after completing the 1-year paid training period.
