The Position
The Lead Product Design position is a hands on role, requiring a design leader with the passion and vision to craft immaculate user experiences.
Own the end-to-end design process for Expanse's core product, from ideation to execution. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align design with product strategy and technical feasibility. You'll work closely with the frontend SWE team to ensure a cohesive experience is maintained as new designs are transmuted into code.
What You'll Do
Ownership of designing and maintaining a world-class UX/UI for our core product, while balancing user needs, business goals, and technical constraints
Conduct user research to inform design decisions and validate concepts
Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity visuals
Maintain, improve and scale our design system for consistency and efficiency
Mentor product designers and champion design thinking across the company
Our Ideal Candidate
7+ years of experience designing digital products, with 3+ years in a lead UX/UI role
Genuine interest in AI, LLMs and prompt engineering
Mastery of design tools like Figma and scalable design systems
Proven track record of shipping successful products with stellar design (portfolio required)
Deep understanding of interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility
Excellent communication and storytelling skills to sell your vision, rally support and mentor others effectively
Meticulous attention to detail and a drive for excellence in your design execution
Systems-level thinking to connect product, brand, and business
Degree in Design, HCI, or relevant field preferred
