About the jobProject Advisor – NCD Integration Location: Addis Ababa, EthiopiaRole SummaryThe Project Advisor will provide high-level technical expertise and strategic guidance to the Ministry of Health (MOH) Ethiopia. You will lead the integration of diabetes and hypertension care into the primary healthcare system, ensuring project activities align with national NCD policies to reduce morbidity and mortality across the country.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert advice on international best practices (WHO PEN/HEARTS) and support the revision of national clinical guidelines and protocols.Lead the development of annual work plans and monitoring frameworks; serve as the primary technical liaison between the Ministry, Regional Health Bureaus (RHBs), and partners.Conduct training needs assessments, develop curricula for healthcare providers (including HEWs and Physicians), and mentor MOH counterparts.Improve NCD supply chains, strengthen Health Information Systems (HIS), and integrate NCD care into existing platforms like HIV or Maternal Health clinics.Design and monitor Plan-Do-Study-Act cycles and establish core KPIs to track screening coverage and treatment adherence.Represent the project in technical working groups and foster collaboration across government departments and civil society.Qualifications & ExperienceMedical Degree (MD) plus a Master's in Public Health (MPH), Epidemiology, or a related field.Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in NCD prevention and control, specifically Diabetes and Hypertension.Deep knowledge of WHO PEN/HEARTS frameworks, health system strengthening, and clinical guideline development.Proven track record in managing public health programs in LMIC settings and high-level diplomatic skills.Fluency in English and Amharic is required.Preferred SkillsPrevious experience seconded to a Ministry of Health.Expertise in digital health solutions for NCD management.Deep familiarity with the Ethiopian healthcare landscape.How to ApplySend your CV and a brief cover letter to apply@yes.et with the subject line "Project Advisor – NCD Integration" no later than March 22, 2025.
