About the jobWe are seeking a results-driven Technical Support Engineer who will be responsible for providing on-site technical expertise, product performance evaluation, customer support, and market insights to ensure the effective application and optimization of Saint-Gobain construction solutions with a focus on construction materials, concrete and admixtures. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong technical acumen and a passion for delivering value-driven solutions to clients.Role responsibilities:On-Site Technical Support and DemonstrationsConduct on-site admixture performance demonstrations, including evaluation of slump, water-reduction capability and strengthPerform comparative trials between competitor products and SG products and provide clear performance analysis and recommendations.Carry out random site trial pours and prepare detailed performance reports.Conduct demonstrations for Weber products for projectsCustomer and Contractor SupportProvide technical assistance to customers, contractors, and distributors to address technical requirements and resolve on-site challenges.Deliver product and application training to clients, contractors, distributors, and other stakeholders.Respond to customer technical or quality complaints, perform on-site investigations, and submit findings with recommendations to the client and/or internal quality supervisor.Product Testing and EvaluationPerform first-hand testing of new products received from R&D prior to commercial launch, including field trials and performance evaluation.Conduct periodic product testing to ensure consistency, performance, and compliance.Prepare and submit internal reports on new product testing and periodic performance assessments.Market and Competitor AssessmentAssess the competitor market, including product types, performance, and pricing.Provide insights to support SG product positioning and optimization based on market demand.Technical Assessments and Warranty SupportConduct on-site condition assessments when warranty evaluation or approval is required.Prepare technical assessment reports addressing any product or application-related issues and propose practical solutions.ReportingThe Technical Support Engineer is expected to prepare and submit the following reports based on completed tasks. While individual reports are submitted as work is performed, an overall summary is submitted weekly as follows:Internal New Product Testing ReportsPeriodic Product Testing ReportsTechnical Assessment Reports (including identified issues and recommended solutions)Minimum requirements:Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Construction Management.Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a concrete laboratory or batching plant environment. Experience working on construction sites will be considered an added advantage.Proven ability to evaluate product performance on-site and recommend optimization measures.Experience in providing on-site technical expertise and customer support.Strong skills in customer relationship management, including addressing technical inquiries and resolving issues effectively.Ability to deliver product demonstrations, technical trainings, and support to customers, contractors, and project teams.Capability to collect and report market insights, product feedback, and competitive observations to support business development.Proficiency in Excel and general computer applications; ability to work effectively with digital tools and technical documentation and CRM is a plus.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Strong customer service orientation with an ability to build trust and long-term relationships.Ability to collaborate with internal teams and support sales by ensuring correct and optimized application of SG construction solutions.
