About the jobAbout the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Engineering Technical Officer to join our Elevator Division. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical engineering, with hands-on experience in elevator installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting. The role involves supervising elevator projects, ensuring compliance with codes, and supporting technicians in delivering high-quality work.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise elevator installation, modernization, and maintenance projects.Perform complex troubleshooting and fault analysis on elevator systems.Ensure all work complies with relevant safety and code standards (ASME A17.1 / EN81).Coordinate with clients, contractors, consultants, and safety inspectors.Lead and support maintenance and installation technicians.Conduct final testing, commissioning, and calibration of elevator systems.Review and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and site follow-ups.Support project planning, scheduling, and technical evaluations.Qualifications & Requirements1. EducationMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.Technical/vocational certification in electrical or mechanical fields is an added advantage.2. Professional Experience1–3 years of experience in the elevator industry.Background in:Elevator installation & maintenancePreventive and corrective servicingModernization projectsSupervising field techniciansReading and interpreting mechanical/electrical drawingsExposure to elevator control systems such as ARKEL, VVVF drives, sensors, and safety circuits.3. Technical SkillsMechanical:Knowledge of traction and MRL elevator componentsUnderstanding of drive systems, guide rails, safety gear, and door mechanismsElectrical:Ability to read & interpret wiring diagramsFamiliarity with control circuits, relays, contactors, VVVF drives, and safety circuits4. Tools & SoftwareProficiency in AutoCAD or similar tools for drawing reviewsSkilled in using multimeters and diagnostic instrumentsGood command of MS Office for reporting and documentation5. Soft SkillsStrong leadership and team-mentoring abilitiesEffective project management and coordination skillsClear technical communication with clients and inspectorsSafety-first mindset and attention to detailStrong problem-solving and analytical thinkingAbility to work collaboratively with technicians and supervisors
