Job Description

Job SummaryTreasury Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day treasury operations in Ethiopia, including cash flow planning, bank relationship management, payments processing, and compliance with internal treasury policies and local regulatory requirements.What You Will Be Responsible ForCash & Liquidity ManagementPrepare daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow forecasts in both local and foreign currencies.Ensure optimal utilization of available funds across local and international bank accounts.Monitor daily bank balances and report discrepancies.Banking OperationsCoordinate with local banks for account openings, transactions, KYC updates, and documentation.Manage foreign currency requests, conversions, and remittance procedures in line with Ethiopian regulations.Treasury ComplianceEnsure all treasury activities comply with internal controls, audit requirements, and local financial regulations (e.g., foreign exchange control, repatriation procedures).Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the National Bank of Ethiopia’s policies on capital controls, FX, and cross-border transactions.Reporting & ReconciliationPrepare periodic treasury reports, including cash positions, fund utilization, and FX exposures.Support monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies with finance and banks.Stakeholder CoordinationWork closely with procurement, accounting, and project teams to ensure timely and accurate payments.Serve as the point of contact for banking-related inquiries and support internal/external audits.How You Will Stand OutMaster’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CA or equivalent certification is a plus).3-6 years of relevant experience Knowledge of Ethiopian banking regulations and foreign exchange controls.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.Effective communication and interpersonal abilitiesKnowledge of English and Amharic is required Knowledge of other local languages is advantageousAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentWhat You Will Experience Working With UsA culture that values authenticity and diversity of thoughts and backgrounds;An inclusive and respectable environment with open workspaces and exciting start-up spirit;Fast-growing company with the chance to network with industrial pioneers and enthusiasts;Ability to contribute directly and make an impact on the future of the digital asset industry;Involvement in new projects, developing processes/systems;Personal accountability, autonomy, fast growth, and learning opportunities;Attractive welfare benefits and developmental opportunities such as training and mentoring.
