The role is to oversee and optimize the flow of materials and finished goods with in a company’s supply chain. This involves managing transportation, warehousing, inventory, and order fulfilment to ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective delivery of orders.What Will Your Main Responsibilities BePlanning and managing logistics, warehouse, transportation and delivery of imported goods.Direct, optimize and coordinate full customs clearance cycle for the assigned category of materials.Aligning and negotiating with supplier’s and manufacturers of import materials and finished goods.Ensure on time availability of all imported materials and Finished GoodsStrategically plan and manage the End to End logistics, warehouse (in terms of space availability and location) and transportation.Monitor shipments of all imported materials and act when necessary to ensure timely arrival of material on site, thereby avoiding disruption to production plansAddress any issues related to delayed documentation & shipping line bookingsCo-ordinate with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) to always ensure availability of all imported raw materials and finished goodsLiaise with suppliers on rejected materials or short shipped consignmentsMonitor actual clearance lead time against targetsAnalyse data to assess performance and implement improvements using power BIWork on reduction of demurrage and storage of shipments at portCoordinate and conduct monthly and quarterly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) review of LSPsResolve any problems or complaints arising out of the review of KPIs from LSPsReview and approve extra charge payment request of LSPs against the actual lead time taken to deliver every containerEnsure on time vendor payment and sign quarterly Nil certificatesComply with laws and regulations of the country and follow up if there are new or amended regulations introduced to the marketLead weekly operational meetings with LSPs and take minutes of actions for further follow upEnsure all cash payment orders required for duty payment are provided to LSPs on timeEnsure safety procedure and processes are being followed up by transportersInitiate and engage in transporters auditFollow up daily activities of LSPs & implant resourcesReview and summarize daily shipments tracker provided by the LSPWhat You Need To SucceedExperiences & QualificationsA minimum of Bachelors degree in Logistics or any business fields.4 years and above work experience.SkillsCommunicationCollaborationAttention to detail.MS OfficePower BIStakeholder ManagementCustoms trade portalEthiopian single window system
