Job SummaryThe Finance Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the financial health of the organization. They are responsible for managing financial operations, implementing strategies to maximize profitability, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The Finance Manager provides strategic guidance to senior management on financial matters and plays a key role in decision-making processes. Key Responsibilities Financial Planning and Analysis- Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in collaboration with senior management.- Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.- Provide strategic recommendations to optimize financial performance and support business objectives. Financial Reporting and Control- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management and stakeholders.- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through regular reconciliation and internal controls.- Monitor financial metrics and KPIs to assess the organization's financial health and performance. Budget Management- Manage the budgeting process and review budget proposals for various departments.- Monitor budget variances and provide explanations for significant deviations.- Implement cost control measures to improve efficiency and minimize expenses. Cash Flow Management- Forecast cash flow requirements and manage cash flow effectively to meet operational needs.- Monitor receivables and payables to optimize working capital management.- Implement cash management strategies to maximize returns on surplus funds. Financial Compliance and Risk Management- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies.- Coordinate with auditors and oversee the audit process to ensure accurate and timely reporting.- Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, such as hedging or insurance. Team Leadership and Development- Supervise and mentor finance team members, providing guidance and support as needed.- Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the finance team.- Collaborate with other departments to promote cross-functional teamwork and communication. Qualifications- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.- Proven experience in financial management, accounting, or related roles, with at least 5-7 years in a managerial capacity.- Strong understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.- Advanced proficiency in financial analysis tools and accounting software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems).- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.- Strategic thinking and ability to translate financial data into actionable insights.- Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving results.
