Job Description

Job SummaryThe Sales and Marketing Officer will play a key role in promoting and selling Zoomlion’s range of heavy machinery and construction equipment in Ethiopia. The role requires a blend of technical knowledge, market insight, and strong relationship management to drive sales growth and support the company’s expansion in the Ethiopian construction and infrastructure sectors.Key ResponsibilitiesPromote and sell Zoomlion’s heavy equipment (e.g., excavators, bulldozers, wheel loaders, cranes, concrete machinery) to contractors, developers, government entities, and industrial clients.Conduct market research to identify sales opportunities, customer needs, and competitor activity in Ethiopia’s construction and infrastructure markets.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders through regular visits, presentations, and follow-ups.Provide technical product knowledge to clients and support during equipment demonstrations.Prepare and negotiate proposals, contracts, and quotations in compliance with company pricing strategies.Collaborate with service and technical teams to ensure equipment delivery, installation, and after-sales service meet client expectations.Support brand visibility by participating in trade shows, exhibitions, and promotional events within Ethiopia.Prepare regular sales performance reports, customer feedback summaries, and forecasts for management review.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum 2–4 years of experience in sales and marketing of heavy machinery or construction equipment in Ethiopia.Familiarity with government procurement procedures and large-scale infrastructure projects is an advantage.Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets in a technical sales environment.Key CompetenciesStrong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Technical understanding of heavy machinery and its application in the Ethiopian market.Self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.Good command of English and Amharic (spoken and written)Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM tools is an added advantage.Willingness to travel across Ethiopia for client engagement and field support.Please submit your CV in PDF format
