The ideal candidate will ensure the integrity and accuracy of their financial records, maintain compliance with relevant regulations, and provide strong leadership to the finance team. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong ethical foundation, a collaborative leadership style, and excellent technical skills.Key Responsibilities:Ensure all financial records and practices adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and current Ethiopian government proclamations, directives, and guidelines.Thoroughly verify cash accounts, receivables, payables, stock and inventory, fixed assets, and related documentation.Oversee physical inventory counts and ensure accurate inventory valuation.Manage and address tax-related issues, ensuring compliance with all relevant tax laws.Monitor and optimize working capital management and liquidity.Lead the team in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.Verify the proper preparation and timely submission of all financial reports.Verify the accuracy and ensure the timely submission of all monthly government reports.Verify the accuracy of monthly payroll processing.Verify payment documents to ensure adherence to standard documentation requirements and established procedures.Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors and tax audit authorities, facilitating smooth audit processes.Qualifications:10+ years of Progressive experience in Accounting and financial management.Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is ideal but not required).Exceptional integrity and a strong ethical compass.Demonstrated servant leadership qualities, with a focus on collaboration, guidance, and team empowerment.Highly tech-savvy, with proficiency in manipulating Peachtree accounting software and the ability to quickly adapt to internal software systems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Deadline:Submit your application letter and CV to apply@yes.et by April 13, 2025.
