Senior Accountant

Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations, including ERCA standards. You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance, and managing all aspects of the general ledger.Responsibilities:Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements).Compile financial annual reports adhering to ERCA standards.Prepare periodic financial reports in compliance with accounting standards and ERCA requirements.General Ledger Management:Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts.Ensure accuracy in journal entries and account classifications.Prepare and review tax returns and ensure timely submission.Manage company withholdings, pensions, and settlements with ERCA.Timely management (preparation & payment) of VAT, withholding, employee tax and pension.Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial regulations.Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance filings.Prepare monthly employee payroll.Ensure all financial information is accurately recorded in Peachtree.Maintain well-organized and complete supporting documentation.Qualifications:MA/bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field4-5 years of relevant experience Proven experience as a Senior Accountant, with a strong understanding of financial reporting and compliance.Expertise in using Peachtree accounting software.In-depth understanding of ERCA standards and Ethiopian tax regulations.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsIFRS certification is a plus
