Job Description

Provide reliable and secure driving servicesEnsures provision of reliable and secure driving services by a) driving office vehicle/s for the transport of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents, and other items and b) meeting official personnel and visitors at the airport, visa, and customs formalities arrangement when requiredProvide proper use of vehicleEnsures cost-savings through proper use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, provision of inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reportsProvide day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicleEnsure proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, checking of tires, brakes, car washing, etc.Maintain And Ensure Availability Of All Required Documents/supplies Ensures cost-savings through proper use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs, provision of inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reportsProvide general administrative and logistic support as needed Coordinate and ensure availability of all required documents/supplies including vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, and map of the city/country, first aid kits, and necessary spare parts Ensures that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case of involvement in accidents and/or security incidents Coordinate and prepare schedule of insurance and service for all office vehicles Review fuel usage and reconcile fuel coupons used against recorded fuel usage for all office vehicles.Provide support on facilities management and common shared services Ensure office space is properly maintained and in good order, coordinating any maintenance/repair work required. Ensure safe custody of duplicate office keys. Ensure availability of toiletries and cleaning materials. Ensure office space including the common areas and conference rooms are kept cleanCore Values:Integrity;Professionalism;Respect for Diversity.Core CompetenciesAwareness and Sensitivity Regarding Gender Issues;Accountability;Creative Problem Solving;Effective Communication;Inclusive Collaboration;Stakeholder Engagement;Leading by Example.Education and Certification Completion of secondary education is required. Valid driver’s license is requiredExperience2 years of work experience as a driver; safe driving records; knowledge of driving rules and regulations and skills in minor vehicle repairLanguages Fluency in English and Tigrigna is required. Knowledge of any other UN language is an added advantage.
