About the jobWe are looking for an IT Network Engineer responsible for supporting, monitoring, and proactively maintaining network, firewalls, and backup systems. In addition, you will be communicating with clients, resolving client-related issues, identifying improvements, enhancing security processes, and conducting root cause analysis to mitigate risks. Responsibilities: Installing, configuring, and maintaining Enterprise Cisco Network Devices, Local and Wide area networks, FortiGate Firewall, Security and Proxy Services. Backup Appliances, and applications.Monitoring and maintaining Cisco Switching and Routing Infrastructure, Windows Enterprise Servers, and VMware Platforms. Backups and Replications, VoIP Infrastructure.Implementing effective measures to protect systems and applications.Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders, also resolving day-to-day internal and external client-related issues.Empowering teams to execute strategic visions and changes while maintaining relevant company policies.Identify improvement opportunities that can increase revenue and reduce operating costs, also ensuring proper accounting of software, infrastructure, and licensing expenditures.Tracking and logging all overtime and additional costs for audit purposes.Identify continuous improvement opportunities, and enhance processes around authentication, security, and protection of data.Proactively monitor, maintain, and mitigate risks to sensitive data, cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities, and security breaches. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement corrective action.Ensure network Engineering processes are properly documented, periodically reviewed, and approved by Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field 3+ years of experience in Information technology. Solid understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP), network architecture, and familiarity with routing, switching, and network troubleshooting. Manage and monitor all installed systems & infrastructure (Server & desktop). Cisco CCNA R&S or equivalent Networking Experience. Proficiency in installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining operating systems and system management tools. Understanding of Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Update methodologies, Microsoft Office 365 environment, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, and DNS management. Skills to monitor and test application performance, identify bottlenecks and collaborate with developers for effective solutions. Capability to liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution, as well as prioritize incidents and client requirements while working independently. Relevant certifications, such as A+, and N+ are a plus. Familiarity with virtualization technologies (VMWare preferred)the relevant stakeholders.
