Summary Of RoleThe advisor will make connections and build relationships between schools, teacher training institutes, communities, woreda offices, zonal education offices, and regional education bureaus to identify efficiencies, improve practice, and lesson share.Education/Experience RequirementsMaster’s degree. National/Ethiopian, with fluency in English and Amharic. Experience in successfully delivering education programmes of similar complexity. Ability to work effectively, collaboratively and develop constructive relationships with government, at both strategic/policy and service delivery levels including positive influencing skills. Local knowledge and networks in Ethiopia ensuring that strong working relationships are maintained with academic institutions, civil society, and other development partners. Sufficient understanding of education delivery through different channels, and education systems reform in Ethiopia, together with an understanding of the political, cultural context and challenges in Ethiopia. Computer literacy with standard business software (including Word, Excel and Power Point). Experience with FCDO-funded programs. Willingness to travel within project region/country 80% of his/her work time.
