About the jobJob Purpose: This role will be responsible for managing the whole accounting function of Saint-Gobain Ethiopia, including general ledger, account receivables, accountant payables, treasury, costing and all tax related matters and ensuring that the accounts are kept correctly and in line with local as well as IFRS accounting standards. The role will be in charge of month-end closing as well as year-end closing process for accounting and also be a key contact for external auditors. Qualifications:BCom Degree in Accounting or Financial ManagementCertified Chartered Accountant (CA)Specific Skills and Work Experience: > 5 years relevant experience as an AccountantCompetent and experienced in General Ledger activitiesVery strong knowledge of local statutory accounting rules and tax regulationsSolid knowledge of IFRS accounting standardsKey Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the company’s accounts in line with local legislation and IFRSPreparation of monthly and yearly financial statement according to legislationMaintaining the company’s fixed asset registerEnsure correct posting of all account payables and account receivables transaction in SAP B1Correct handling of taxes and timely declaration of all taxes to authoritiesPreparation of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations Managing the operational relationship with external auditors and prepare requested information on timePerform cost accounting with the assistance of Finance ManagerSupport on Saint-Gobain Group reporting as requestedAssist in follow-up of account receivables and preparation of customer reconciliation.Perform treasury activities in line with the group requirements (bank recon/cashflow statements, etc)Implementation of Internal Control processes in line with Saint-Gobain requirementsWork on improvements of accounting processes or SAP B1 as neededKey contact to both external and internal audits
