Position Overview: The Program Lead - Scaling Financial Access will design, implement, and manage projects aimed at expanding financial access points and services. This role involves providing program design and management support to enhance financial inclusion and ensure effective programming and implementation of digital financial services. The selected candidate will be fully embedded within the National Bank of Ethiopia, working closely with the financial inclusion secretariat, thereby playing a crucial role in the core of Ethiopia's financial sector reforms. Key Responsibilities: 1. Program Management: ○ Guide PMO experts in identifying and developing projects to improve financial inclusion and achieve PMO office goals. ○ Lead the design and development of mobile money-related interventions. ○ Develop terms of reference for engaging external resources to support project implementation. ○ Prepare proposals for approval and support risk and results monitoring for programs/projects. 2. Scaling Digital Financial Services: ○ Design and implement projects to scale digital financial products and services. ○ Identify and implement initiatives to expand digital payment agent networks. ○ Develop and deploy projects to integrate digital payments across G2P/P2G and social/humanitarian payments. ○ Implement initiatives to expand financial access points in underserved areas. ○ Support the development of sharia-compliant financial products for low-income Muslim communities. 3. Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: ○ Build and manage relationships with implementing partners, consultants, and stakeholders. ○ Participate in developing resourcing plans and budgets for projects. ○ Contribute to resource mobilization by developing detailed plans and budgets for funding proposals. ○ Coordinate with the procurement team to monitor procurement plans for effective management of external resources. 4. Project Monitoring and Reporting: ○ Oversee project spending and support budgeting adjustments. ○ Prepare periodic program updates for the steering committee and stakeholders. ○ Ensure collection and accuracy of quantitative and qualitative data from project stakeholders. ○ Liaise with the MRM team to analyze data and coordinate with the Communications and Advocacy team for effective dissemination. 5. Advocacy and Knowledge Management: ○ Develop content for reports and written pieces on financial innovations. ○ Contribute to advocacy and communications activities, engaging in thought leadership and networking events. ○ Oversee knowledge management activities, including developing toolkits and research notes. Qualifications and Skills: ● Master’s degree in Finance, Banking, Commerce, Business, Accounting, or related fields. ● At least 10 years of relevant experience, including 5 years in supervisory roles. ● Experience in the financial ecosystem and certification in financial management, accounting, or leadership. ● Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills. ● Excellent communication and leadership abilities. ● Fluency in English and Amharic is required.How to Apply: Submit your application letter and CV to apply@yes.et by July 13, 2024.
