Junior Logistics and Foreign Purchase Officer

We're looking for a Junior Logistics and Foreign Purchase Officer to join our dynamic team in a thriving chemical manufacturing company. The RoleThe role of a Junior Logistics and Foreign Purchase Officer in a chemical manufacturing company involves managing the day-to-day logistics operations and overseeing the procurement of raw materials and supplies from foreign sources. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build relationships with suppliers and transportation providers.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage deliveries, inventory, and on-time product deliveries.Source materials overseas: negotiate contracts, work with shipping companies, and make sure materials arrive on schedule.Keep track of everything: use computer programs to manage inventory, orders, and shipping.Work with the factory to ensure materials are ready for production.Build strong relationships with suppliers and shipping companies for smooth operations and good deals.Stay on top of industry trends to find ways to save money or make logistics even better.Make sure all imports follow Ethiopian rules and safety standards.Write reports to show management how logistics are doing.Tackle any delivery or product quality issues that come up.Help other departments (sales, customer service) when they need extra hands.Manage going to Ethiopian airlines cargo or Ethiopian custom and Trade to follow up on Delivery.Qualification and Requirement:Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, or a similar field.Have experience in a chemical manufacturing company.A keen eye for detail and the ability to handle pressure.Excellent communication skills to build relationships with everyone you work with.Computer skills are a must.
