To include overseeing the installation of the company's solutions and ensuring that the project complies with industry standards.Planning, designing, and implementing telecom solutions within a data center environment.Conducting maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of optical fiber networks in a data center environment.Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize network performance.Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Assisting in the setup and management of data center infrastructure.The role also encompasses the construction, maintenance, and procurement of data center infrastructure, as well as ongoing data center management, which includes compliance, audits, and accounting for the data center organization, and include responsibilities related to IT systems architecture design and security.Responsibilities• Monitoring and performing on-going maintenance on servers and network equipment. • Providing IT support to staff and customers, as well as responding to the server and network issues. • Monitoring all network processes to ensure the smooth flow of data across the network. • Collaborating with software and network engineering teams on cybersecurity and network efficiency. • Documenting processes and keeping event logs. • Keeping track of developing trends in data center technologies. • Conduct data center audits of electrical systems, and lead improvements. • Attain customer satisfaction with smooth delivery • Perform routine maintenance checks for data center fire suppression system, CCTV system and access security system etc. • Accompany customer inside the data center during their site visit for work purposes• Maintain direct interface with sales and operations functions in the region.• Ensure server and application compliance with security and performance requirements. • Complete repairs and perform corrective maintenance and routine installations. • Use a combination of product management and application knowledge to guide customers through successful implementations. • Run hardware diagnostics and replacing failing parts in a timely manner. • Create and maintain accurate and credible records of maintenance, changes, problems, methods-of-procedures (MOPs) and resolutions.• Review product documentation for accuracy, content, and ease of use.• Collaborate with a team of software and networking engineers to ensure the security and efficiency of data center server/network • Monitor customer network servers and storage systems to ensure uptime and efficient resolution of issues• Perform basic repair of damaged or faulty equipment and devices• Maintain records of all system administration operations and present reports to management• Oversee the running of data cables (fiber cables, ethernet cables etc.) during the installation of new equipment.• Maintain accurate inventory of work tools, equipment, and devices • Conduct preventative maintenance on data center equipment to ensure efficient operations • Listen to customer complaints and assist them in the resolution of technical issues • Set up access controls to protect company systems and network QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Information & Technology, Telecommunication, or Electrical Engineering (LC). Experience• should have a minimum of 3-5 years telecom-related experience working in a known telecom operator. • must have 2 years verifiable/proven optical fiber experience including but not limited to patching, laying, splicing, maintaining optical fibers• have a good theoretical knowledge of a data center environment(practical knowledge is also an added advantage)• possessing telecom/fiber optics certification will be an added advantageIdeal Certification/Professional RegistrationMaster Fiber Optic Technician certificateCertified Fiber Optic InstallerSpecialized Fiber Optic Installer certificateDCIM (Data Centre Infrastructure Management) Certificate
