Job descriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Production Supervisor on behalf of our client. You will beresponsible for ensuring operational excellence, meeting production goals, and fostering a safe andpositive work environment.The RoleThe Production Supervisor will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities for theoperations in his/her assigned area. The successful candidate will follow plant, departmental, andjob safety policies as well as know, understand, and demonstrate a thorough knowledge of safeoperating procedures, including housekeeping requirements.The candidate should have a basic knowledge and understanding of all quality procedures andguidelines and possess the ability to communicate with the colleagues in the plant.The Production Supervisor will be able to identify the non-quality products and report problems,report unsafe conditions and correct immediately, learn and use computer systems for Quality andProduction reporting.The ability to communicate with other associates and areas to ensure a good working environmentis imperative.Responsibilities:Lead and Manage Production Team: Oversee and lead the production team and factoryorganization to achieve operational excellence and meet production goals.Operate Industrial Equipment: Safely operate powered industrial vehicles such as mixermachines, and other equipment in the factory to ensure efficient production processes.Flexible Work Schedule: Be available to work nights and weekends as scheduled to supportproduction demands.Ensure Safety Compliance: Enforce safety measures and protocols at all times to ensure a safeworking environment for all personnel.Meet Sales Demand: Coordinate production activities to deliver plant output in alignment withsales demand and customer requirements.Promote Positive Culture: Lead by example, fostering a positive and inclusive work culturealigned with company values and principles.Train and Develop Employees: Provide training and supervision as needed to ensure thedevelopment and success of production team members. Lead performance management and traininginitiatives.Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Partner effectively with Research & Development(R&D), Supply Chain, Human Resources (HR), and other departments to optimize productionprocesses and address business needs.Drive Staff Performance: Accomplish production results by communicating job expectations,monitoring and appraising job performance, providing coaching and counseling, and enforcingcompany systems, policies, and procedures.Adhere to Chemical Handling Procedures: Follow strict protocols for handling and mixingchemicals to ensure product quality and safety.Maintain Equipment and Facilities: Assist in the maintenance and cleanliness of productionequipment and facilities to uphold operational efficiency and safety standards.Monitor Product Quality: Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure compliancewith product specifications and industry standards.Contribute to Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization andefficiency gains in chemical blending operations.Support Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Initiatives: Participate in EHS programs andinitiatives to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainable practices.Adapt to Changing Priorities: Flexibly adjust production schedules and priorities based onchanging business needs and customer demands.Job Requirement :● Minimum Bachelor degree in Engineering (Chemical/Process engineering, Mechanicalengineering or Electrical engineering is a plus)● Minimum of 5 years in a similar position.● Management/Leadership Qualification – advantage.● Experience in a chemical admixture manufacturing company is a must.● Past experience of production management preferably from a similar process industry.● Experience operating with formal quality and environmental systems.● A proven track record in managing people in a continuous production and manufacturing environment● Ability to communicate on a high professional level in English and Amharic● Negotiating skills.● Excellent communication skills.How to apply:Interested applicants can apply by sending their CV and supporting documents to apply@yes.etwith the subject title Production Supervisor.
