Job Summary
We are seeking a driven and experienced Sales Development Representative (SDR) with a background in solar or adjacent industries (e.g., energy, utilities, HVAC, construction, or green tech). This role is ideal for someone skilled in outbound prospecting, lead generation, and qualifying opportunities within a high-growth, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct high-volume outbound prospecting via cold calls, email, and LinkedIn to generate qualified leads
Identify and engage decision-makers in residential and commercial solar markets
Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on defined criteria and sales readiness
Schedule discovery calls and demos for Account Executives
Maintain accurate records of all activities and pipeline in CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce)
Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to optimize outreach strategies
Stay up to date on solar industry trends, incentives, and competitive offerings
Requirements
2+ years of experience in a Sales Development Representative, BDR, or outbound sales role
Proven experience in solar or adjacent industries (renewable energy, utilities, HVAC, construction, or similar)
Strong track record in cold calling, lead generation, and pipeline building
Excellent communication and objection-handling skills
Proficiency with CRM tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work remotely and hit targets consistently
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
